Knight (or King) of Cups

The Knight frequently is associated with men of an official nature, perhaps a businessman or a lawyer, and with taking on more responsibility. It can indicate some kind of intervention or an official nature, or some requirement to conform.

The Knight reminds us that with responsibility we need to ensure that we don’t lose our kindness and consideration for others, and continue to approach things from a position of love. He signals that this time things are different, maturity and wisdom are on your side, and it is a period of growth. It is time to explore your relationship with the wider world, and blend the inside with the outside.

He reminds us to trust in ourselves, to trust in the universe, and that if we approach people, places, situations, and events from a position of love we will learn more than allowing the perpetuating cycles of self sabotage and harm to continue. Empathy allows us to experience the world through someone else’s eyes, and the more we show the more we understand. Only by making the unconscious conscious can we begin to truly influence the world around us.

Ill versed, the Knight cautions against making the same choices as before. You know how that path ends, and the only way to break the cycle is to consciously choose, in every moment, to be different.
