Five of Cups

The five is the card of sorrow, of disappointment. It can signify the loss of a loved one, or a broken marriage. It can tell us that we have unreasonable expectations, and cautions us against spending time worrying about what we have lost.

As we grow things change for us. We outgrow people, we outgrow places, we outgrow behaviours. The one inevitable thing during this life is that things will change, else how are we supposed to evolve, to adapt to our changing environment and become something new?

It is through our inner peace that we weather the storm, and that acceptance of change and the ability to embrace it despite the cost is key. Every person we meet, every feeling we feel, every thought that we hold has a lesson to teach us, and once that lesson has been learned it can be time to move on.

Ill versed it speaks of regret, of sorrow over how things turned out. It tells us of a betrayal, one that hurts all the more for not being able to see a reason for it. In the darkness it can be hard to see where something can be gained, but in the darkest hours hope keeps the light sprung eternal. Let your regret, anger, and sorrow drive the change that you need, and learn the lesson this time lest you risk it repeating yet again.
